CHANTILLY, VA- December 15, 2018. With the holidays fast approaching, we’re all looking forward to spending more time with family and friends. Unfortunately, mobility and distance can make this difficult for some to gather easily. With this thought in mind, several PGPC team members travelled to local senior living facilities to deliver some holiday cheer.
Visiting Sunrise at Fair Oaks, the PGPC team met with multiple residents during their holiday visit. Our technical editor immediately sat down to an intense game of Scrabble, while our junior proposal manager picked up some dating tips regarding the proper way to “court” a young lady. All the seniors were excited to meet the team, enjoy the personalized Christmas gifts they received, and share their favorite holiday memories.
Our second stop for the day was to Forest Glen, an independent senior living facility in Centreville. PGPC was invited to their holiday lunch celebration where we also donated several gift baskets- each hand crafted by a member of the PGPC team around a theme, such as “Movie Night.” The gift basket raffle drove the afternoon’s energy, resulting in some swift negotiations between the winners and their peer groups on where and when to enjoy the baskets’ spoils. PGPC staff helped serve lunch and ate with the residents.
